The staff bank is managed in-house by the Trust’s Temporary Staffing Team, supported by RLDatix / Allocate Optima BankStaff. There is no third-party managed service provider operating the bank on the Trust’s behalf. Medical staff use Medics on Duty for medical rostering.

RLDatix / Allocate Optima supports all staff groups except medical staff. Medics on Duty is used for medical staff.

The HealthRoster Optima UK bundle, including BankStaff and SafeCare, commenced on 31/12/2024 and ends on 30/12/2029. Medics on Duty runs from 31/07/2024 to 30/07/2029.

You asked:

Our response:

BankStaff functionality is included within the wider HealthRoster Optima UK bundle with SafeCare and does not have a separately identified annual cost. The payment schedule for the year commencing 31/12/2025 shows £193,117 for the HealthRoster Optima UK bundle, including BankStaff and SafeCare, plus £19,311 for Allocate DataHub, giving total annual charges of £212,428. Allocate Loop is provided free of charge within this arrangement.

For medical rostering, Medics on Duty is a separate arrangement. Its scheduled charge for the year commencing 31/07/2025 is £15,647. From 31/12/2025, an additional 60 Medics on Duty licences were added, with a charge of £2,604 for the period 31/12/2025 to 30/07/2026.
