Freedom of Information Request – Ref: FOI GHC-07032025-386349
Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request. Please find our response below.
You asked:
1. What projects are they investing in within IT, Data and transformation for 2025?
The Trust does not define the Business Intelligence delivery activities by “projects”. The team supports activities and projects of other services, but they would be listed under their leadership, the team cannot identify a specific “data” focused project. Federated Data Flows may be an example, but it is picked up as Business As Usual rather than under a distinct project structure.
Digital work is also supporting Trust projects as opposed to being led by the Digital team.
The main Digital led programme of work for 25/26 is Transforming Care Digitally (TCD) a Programme launched in January 2024. TCD was born from the need to improve and maximise the existing five clinical EPR systems the Trust uses. TCD will last at least four years and aims to enhance our technology, improving its effectiveness, reliability, and care provision. The programme includes several large projects under the same objectives. The Digital Team will collaborate closely with partners, suppliers, and service users.
TCD aims are as follows:
- Optimise the Trust’s EPR configuration and its support and maintenance.
- Explore digital advancements to enhance user experience and streamline operations.
- Develop efficient, user-friendly clinical systems focused on delivering safe, quality care to service users.
You asked:
2. How much is the budget spend allocated to this?
Our response:
The teams do not have a specific project budget.
You asked:
3. How many contractors do they have within IT, Data, Software, AI, Analytics and BI?
