Freedom of Information Request – Ref: FOI 055-2026

Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request. Please find our response below.

You asked:

Please provide the following for the previous 3 financial years (2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25) :

1. The total number of non-British citizens treated in the previous 3 financial years.

2. The total cost of treating those patients

3. The total amount recovered from those patients

Our response:

We have reviewed your request and unfortunately we are unable to provide the information requested.

This is because whilst we do record ethnicity of our patients when provided, we do not capture nationality as a separate category within our EPR systems.  Therefore the information you have requested is not held by the Trust.

You asked

4. The total number of adults treated who did not have a NHS number in the previous 3 financial years

5. The total cost of treating those patients

6. The total amount recovered from those patients

Our response:

We have reviewed your request and unfortunately we are unable to provide the information requested.

We are unable to identify adults treated without an NHS number as all patients are given a number.  Therefore the information you have requested is not held by the Trust.
