Response published: 17 July 2025

FOI Request

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act (2000). I would be most grateful if you could please provide details on the use of Minimally Invasive Cancer Therapies (MICTs), commissioned or delivered within your Trust area during the 2024-2025 financial year. The types of treatments MICTs include are: • Cryoablation • Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT) • High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) Please confirm if your Trust does or does not commission any of these procedures. If so, please list the therapies involved. In addition, if your Trust carry out any of these procedures, I would be most grateful if you could please provide me with details of the number of times each therapy was used or delivered within the 2024 – 2025 financial year. To summarise, I am requesting the following: 1. Does your trust commission and/or deliver any of the following MICTs: Cryoablation, Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT) and High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)? If yes, which therapies? 2. For each therapy commissioned or delivered, how many times was it used or delivered within the 2024-2025 financial year?
