Yes, 1 patient made an allegation of rape in the financial year April 2024 to April 2025.

Please advise if and when the CQC was informed of this serious incident
Our response:
The Deputy Director of Nursing notified the CQC via a formal notification on 10 September 2024.
You asked:
Please advise:
a) if this incident took place on trust premises
b) whether the patient was under inpatient care
c) if the patient was detained under the Mental Health Act

a) Alleged incident took place on Trust premises.
b) Patient was receiving inpatient care.

Please advise what review if any has been undertaken by the trust, and what learning and Safeguarding improvements have been made since the incident.

This incident of alleged rape was reported to the police and no further action was taken by the police.

4) Please advise if the trust undertakes any benchmarking to compare its rates of sexual violence against other comparator trusts, the results of any such benchmarking and any action plans arising.
