Our response:
The response below include the number of adult deaths by suspected suicide of service users recorded on Datix in each calendar year. This information is based on incidents reported by our staff where suicide was suspected and should not be taken to mean there was necessarily a coroner’s verdict of suicide in each case.
Accidental deaths are also not included, such as suspected accidental illicit drug overdoses or alcohol related deaths.
