Response published: 16 October 2026

FOI Request

Dear Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust Freedom of Information Team, I am writing to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please could you provide the following information relating to your trust: 1. Does the Trust currently have a dedicated Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy document? This may also be referred to as a digital strategy, data strategy, or technology strategy that specifically addresses AI. 2. If the answer to question 1 is yes, please provide a copy of this strategy document, or the relevant sections that address AI. 3. If the Trust does not have a dedicated AI strategy, please provide a copy of any policy, guidance, or governance framework the Trust holds relating to the use of AI, including but not limited to: - Staff use of generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) - AI use in clinical decision-making or diagnostics - AI procurement or risk assessment procedures - Data governance policies covering AI systems 4. If no such strategy or policy exists in any form, please confirm this is the case. If it would be quicker or clearer to direct me to a specific webpage or published document that already answers this request, a link would be very welcome. I understand you have 20 working days to respond under the Act. If any part of this request is unclear, or if compiling the information would exceed the appropriate cost limit, please contact me so we can discuss narrowing the scope. Please confirm receipt of this request. Kind regards,
