The number of patients aged 18 and older who have a recorded language of British sign language that were appropriately referred to a mental health service between 1 April 2020 and 31 March 2025 – 425
The data presented is based on the language that has been recorded in the Trust’s clinical system under the patient’s language. Some patients may be deaf sign language users but this has not been recorded in a field which can be easily extracted for reporting purposes. Patients aged 18 and above at referral of admission have been included.
