21. Does the Estates department have a budget to purchase medical devices and IT separate to central
IT for CCTV?
Whilst the Estates & Facilities department has responsibility for the oversight of Medical Equipment
maintenance, it does not purchase medical devices from its budget. Instead, each operational team is
responsible for funding its own replacement medical devices – either from budget for smaller items. or
via a bid for Trust Capital with requests managed by the Trust Capital Management Group.. Estates &
Facilities support the capital bid prioritisation process through analysis and assessment of equipment
risk factors.

The departmental budget is approximately £22m including all pay and non-pay costs..
23. What % of the estates budget is associated with IT systems for the management and running of the
