FOI Request

1. The number of people who have attended A&E and given Semaglutide as a reason for their visit, where there drug was indicated for weight management - in every year between 2022 and 2024. Please give a figure for each year. Semaglutide also goes under brand names such as Ozempic, Saxenda, Rybelsus and Wegovy – can you please include these names in your records also. 2. Please break the figures down to give details of the complications patients presented with as a result of their use of Semaglutide.

Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request. Please find our response below.

You asked:

1. The number of people who have attended A&E and given Semaglutide as a reason for their visit, where there drug was indicated for weight management – in every year between 2022 and 2024. Please give a figure for each year.

Our response:

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust do not have Accident and Emergency Departments, request therefore sent to our Minor Illness and Injury Units Matron as agreed with requestor.

Gloucestershire Health and Care MIIU units do not prescribe the drug as mentioned in original request.
