I would like to please make a freedom of information request dated 20/01/2026 regarding the following:

1. Do you have any current MPAC trainees?
a. If yes, how many MPAC trainees do you have?

2. Are you employing any Multi-Professional Approved Clinicians (MPACs)?
a. If yes, how many Multi-Professional Approved Clinicians (MPACs) are you employing?

3. Do your employed MPACs take on Responsible Clinician (RC) roles?
a. If yes, in what setting do they take on these roles? For example, are they acting as RC on an individual level for individual service users, or at a team level for a ward?

4. Do your employed MPACs have any clear supervisory roles for resident doctors?

5. Do your employed MPACs take on the nominated deputy role for completing 5(2)?

6. Do your employed MPACs take part on the on call rota?

7. Do you have a clear policy to determine allocation of psychiatrists or MPACs as the RC?

8. In cases where the MPAC is acting as the RC but not a qualified prescriber, what mechanism do you have in place to ensure a suitably qualified AC is in charge of prescriptions?

Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support Training

I am an year 1 medical student working on a project about Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support readiness of medical professionals in the country.

I would like to ask:

1. What is the required frequency for statutory BLS training?

2. What incentives or measures has the trust adopted to encourage annual BLS training for medical professionals with patient facing duties ( no pay progression if mandatory training not completed, departmental sessions, ESR alerts, managerial supervision of mandatory training etc)?

3. Does the organisation require resus teams to have Advanced Life Support training?

Use of Simulation in Staff Training

Dear FOI Team,
I am writing under the Freedom of Information Act to request information regarding the use of simulation-based training within your Trust. Specifically, I would be grateful if you could provide the following details:
1. Does the Trust currently use simulation to train any staff groups (e.g., consultants, resident doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, etc.)?
2. If yes, what simulation methodologies are employed (e.g., role-play with actors, digital avatars, augmented reality, virtual reality, or other approaches)?
3. What were the initial setup costs for implementing simulation training?
4. What are the ongoing annual costs, if any, associated with maintaining and delivering simulation training?
5. How many trainees did the Trust host in the last financial year (2024/2025) who were enrolled in training for a mental health–related profession?
If some or all of this information is not available, please provide the details that are held by the Trust.

Basic Life Support Training

I am a first-year medical student participating in a cross-cultural study between the UK and Bulgaria. Myself and other NHS professionals and students would like to ask the following questions, so that we can compare this to the training done in Bulgaria, before a Resus council is set up there.

1/ Is Basic Life Support course mandatory for the medical professionals working for the Trust?

2/ How many courses per year does your resus training department deliver?

3/ What percentage of doctors/nurses/midwives and other allied health professionals have done BLS training in the last 1 year?

4/ What percentage of your medical personnel have profession specific Advanced Life Support training?

b. What is the name and role of the commercial contact responsible for LMS procurement or renewals?

4. Planned Changes or Reviews
a. Are there any plans to review or replace your LMS in the next 12–24 months?
b. Are there any scheduled or anticipated procurement events or tenders related to learning, compliance, or workforce development systems?

5. Integration and Strategic Use
a. Is your LMS currently integrated with other internal systems (e.g. HRIS, payroll, CRM)?
b. Are there strategic goals linked to digital learning, compliance reporting, or learner engagement which the LMS is expected to support?
