Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the following information:

1) Has your NHS Trust purchased orthopaedic robots between the 1st January 2018 and 31st December 2025? If so, how many, in which financial quarter (Q1 April – June, Q2 July – Sept, Q3 October – Dec, Q4 Jan – March) and which brands and models were they?

2) How much money has your NHS Trust spent on orthopaedic robots purchased between the dates 1st January 2018 and 31st December 2025? Please break-down by financial quarter.

Please provide the information in an excel spreadsheet or in a Microsoft Word table.

4. Please list the Departmental location of each individual Ultrasound System asset installed across the Trust.
5. Does the Trust maintain any of the Trust’s Ultrasound Systems by utilising external service provider(s)?
6. Does the Trust maintain any of the Trust’s Ultrasound Systems by utilising your own internal Engineering staff?
7. If an external service provider(s) is used, please provide the name of the contracted service provider?
8. If an external service provider(s) is used, what was the contract award value?
9. If an external service provider(s) is used, what is the contract type – PPM/ Fully- Comprehensive / Ad-hoc support?
10. If an external service provider(s) is used, what is the contract renewal date(s)?
11. Please provide the name, email address of the role responsible for managing medical devices within the Trust

Definitions

Ultrasound Devices
For the purposes of this request, this includes any diagnostic Ultrasound equipment, such as portable ultrasound units, point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS) devices, or cart-based ultrasound systems.

PPM
Planned Preventative Maintenance, i.e. annual service.

Fully Comprehensive
Maintenance contract covering the cost of Planned Maintenance and cost of repair parts and labour of equipment.

Ad-hoc support
Subcontracted work to an engineering company on an informal basis.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, we would like to request the following information from your Trust. We would be grateful for any information you can provide, and if you are unable to answer certain questions, please complete the remaining questions. In line with the latest classification, Vaginismus and Dyspareunia have been redefined under the same diagnostic category, Genito Pelvic/Pain Penetration Disorder (GPPPD). GPPPD is a combination of painful sex, penetration difficulties and involuntary vaginal muscle spasm. Therefore, any information on the three conditions would be appreciated.

Device Connectivity

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request information regarding connectivity between devices used at the hospital bedside and electronic patient notes. Could you please assist by answering the following questions, using the latest available data:

1. Name of Hospital Trust.

2. Does your hospital trust current use electronic patient notes? – This is also known as EPR (Electronic Patient Records) system.

3. Do you use any ward-based devices that connect to your EPR system? Examples maybe devices that monitor the patient’s vital signs. If yes, please provide examples of the devices name and model number.

4. Do you have barcode scanning devices on the ward that connect to your EPR system? – Examples Zebra DataWedge. If yes, please provide examples of the devices name and model number.

IV Fluid Bags

I am writing to ask for some information under a freedom of information request.

Specifically please could you provide me with the following information:

1. Over the last 5 years how many IV fluid bags have been bought/used by your trust (can you please give in X bags/year)?

2. For the amounts in answer 1, can you advise what different types were used ie what was the saline concentration, different size bags, any bags containing pre-mixed medication other than saline etc?

3. What brands/makes of IVbags do you purchase? Are they bought directly from the manufacturer or via a distributor?

4. Is there a contract in place for purchasing IV Fluids, and if so when does the current contract expire?

5. What is the average unit price for normal saline solution? Has this price changed in the last 5 years?
