I would like to make the following FOI request to your organisation please: Background We are conducting research into the types of care providers that are being used to provide services to Children & Young People CYP. across England, and as such, we are looking to collate a national list of care providers that are currently being used across the 42 ICBs for these services, as well as information as to how these services are currently being commissioned. The cohorts of Children & Young People CYP. who this research relates to is those who have a complex physical disability, learning disability, mental health needs and/or end-of-life needs. These CYP may require packages of care and support in their own home or other community settings, e.g., hospice/step-down, foster care arrangements. In addition, this includes children who are placed in residential and therapeutic settings, assisted/supported living which are contracted by LA’s.. In the majority, the CYP will have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities SEND. and require an Education and Health Care Plan. FOI Questions 1/ How are Children & Young People CYP. services commissioned for those who have complex health needs in your area? as defined within Background.. We would like to know the names of the care providers that are currently being used to deliver services to the Children & Young People CYP. cohort described in the Background. To support with identifying a national list of care providers for this cohort, we also require details about the type of provider. Reference points such as the provider postcode and CQC Location ID if it is a CQC registered service. have been requested to allow for the providers to be identified in a consistent and accurate manner across ICBs/ICSs. The 3rd tab contains a Key which provides further explanation to some of the columns, alongside possible examples. Please note that the examples are not an exhaustive list. If it is not possible to populate this template within the FOI time allowance, yet the data is recorded in an alternative spreadsheet form, please provide this.
