What is the current number of people waiting for a CAMHS assessment?
As at 31 January 2024 there were 391 people waiting for their first appointment with a CAMHS team.
Note, this excludes the neurological assessment service and the parent programme.
What is your average waiting time for CAMHS treatment?
We are unable to provide a figure for this as there is no national definition of treatment for CAMHS.
Who is the person responsible for managing these waiting lists?
The performance and development lead has overall responsibility for the waiting list.
Has Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Trust used independent providers to carry out work on the
waiting list?

– Neurodevelopment Assessment:
What is the average waiting time for a Neurodevelopmental assessment for children and adults?
We are unable to provide data for the children’s neurodevelopmental service at the moment due to a
current data validation process.
For the adult’s service on 29 January 2024 the average waiting time for those on the caseload with no
first appointment was 400 days.
What is the current number of children and adults waiting for a Neurodevelopmental assessment?
We are unable to provide data for the children’s neurodevelopmental service at the moment due to a
current data validation process.
For the adult’s service on 29 January 2024 there were 2,215 adults waiting for a first appointment.
Please note that an assessment can take place over several appointments.
Who is the person responsible for managing this waiting list?
The performance and development lead has overall responsibility for the CAMHS waiting list.
For the adult service there is no one person. This is a county wide waiting list that has oversight from
the senior management and clinical leadership team
