I would like to receive information relating to the number of inpatients in mental health wards at Gloucestershire Health & Care NHS Foundation Trust. 1. The total number of inpatients in your mental health wards at the end of each month. Please state how many inpatients are informal and how many are detained under the Mental Health Act. Please could you provide the data as a total for all mental health wards you are operating as well as individually for 1. Child and Adolescent Mental Health Wards and 2. Adult Mental Health Wards. Please could you provide the data for each month of the following years: 01 January 2018 to 31 December 2018; 01 January 2019 to 31 December 2019; 01 January 2020 to 31 December 2020; 01 January 2021 to latest available data. 2. Please state all eating disorder wards you are operating. For the following questions, if you have eating disorder wards for 1. Children and Young People and for 2. Adults, please could you give the data for them separately. 3. The total number of inpatients in all your Eating Disorder Wards at the end of each month. Please state how many inpatients are informal and how many are detained under the Mental Health Act. Please could you provide the data for each month of the following years: 01 January 2018 to 31 December 2018; 01 January 2019 to 31 December 2019; 01 January 2020 to 31 December 2020; 01 January 2021 to latest available data. 4. Please state the admission criteria for eating disorder wards. 5. Please state the average admission BMI of all patients that have been admitted to an eating disorder ward each month. Please could you provide the data for each month of the following years: 01 January 2018 to 31 December 2018; 01 January 2019 to 31 December 2019; 01 January 2020 to 31 December 2020; 01 January 2021 to latest available data. 6. Please state the percentage of admissions that were below a BMI of 13 each month. Please could you provide the data for each month of the following years: 01 January 2018 to 31 December 2018; 01 January 2019 to 31 December 2019; 01 January 2020 to 31 December 2020; 01 January 2021 to latest available data. 7. The number of referrals for eating disorder inpatient care each month. Please state how many of these referrals are classed as urgent or emergency. Please could you provide the data for each month of the following years: 01 January 2018 to 31 December 2018; 01 January 2019 to 31 December 2019; 01 January 2020 to 31 December 2020; 01 January 2021 to latest available data. 8. Please state the average waiting time in days for an inpatient admission to eating disorder wards each month. Please also state the average waiting times for referrals that are classed as urgent or emergency. Please could you provide the data for each month of the following years: 01 January 2018 to 31 December 2018; 01 January 2019 to 31 December 2019; 01 January 2020 to 31 December 2020; 01 January 2021 to latest available data. 9. The number of patients that have been taken off the waiting list before they could get admitted. If possible, please state the reason why they got taken off the waiting list. Please could you provide this as yearly totals for 2018, 2019, 2020 and for the first 6 months of 2021. Please could you also provide this data in the format of an Excel spreadsheet .xls.. If this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act you are required to advise and assist requesters. If any of this information is already in the public domain, please can you direct me to it, with page references and URLs if necessary. I understand that you are required to respond to my request within the 20 working days after you receive this letter. I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing that you have received this request. Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request. Please find our response below. Please note, we can only provide a response for Question 1 as we do not have Eating Disorder Inpatient Units.
