We are in the closing phase of a comprehensive nationwide study on Robotic Process Automation RPA. and the state of automation in the NHS. We are surveying if RPA has been procured by trusts and, if so, whether a Trust was able to quantify and measure any FTE savings.
Our aim is to produce a report that will serve to help the NHS make informed decisions around its future investment and strategy with regards to RPA and automation.
We sent out an FOI request to yourselves, as per below. You should have received the email between the dates in the first 2 weeks of July last year.
We would like to thank you for your response, We understand the Trust is faced with an unprecedented situation due to the pandemic. We would like to refresh our survey to understand the adoption of automation post pandemic.
The information we have requested will be helpful and insightful for the Trust and help to inform the wider NHS strategy to ensure it drives much-needed efficiency.
We kindly ask that you respond to the updated information on the FOI request previously sent. For your convenience, we have included the 2 questions that were asked originally below.
1. Has the Trust procured at any point a technology platform called Robotic Process Automation, also known as RPA? This is a new technology and therefore I am only asking the Trust to check its procurement and/or IT records as far back as 01/01/2016.
2. If the Trust has procured RPA, have they calculated how many Full-Time Equivalent hours have been saved as a result of the automation doing administrative tasks, which were otherwise carried out by human members of staff working for the Trust?
Looking forward to your response and wishing you and the team a nice day.

I am currently researching the average weekly fee rates for social care services. In particular, I am focused on the weekly fee rates for adult long-term residential care in residential and/or nursing care homes.
If you could please provide the following information relating to the weekly fees that would be much appreciated:
Could you provide the figures for the average weekly fee rates charged for adults receiving care in a long-term residential care home split by the following criteria:
1.. Primary care need: Where the primary care need is for example – Mental Health MH., Acquired Brain Injury ABI., Learning Disabilities LD. or other conditions.
2.. Level of complexity: Low Acuity, Mid-Acuity and High Acuity whereby high acuity would be the most complex cases and patients requiring the highest level of care.. What would the fees be for the highest acuity cases and their comparison to fees for the low acuity and mid acuity cases per week?
I have attached an excel for you to fill out the relevant weekly fees by level of acuity for each of the primary conditions.

Good Morning,
I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from your HR department. Please may you provide me with:
– Policys. relating to absence from work for an employee participating in Medical Research for healthy Volunteers or Patients that are receiving treatment as part of a Clinical Trial.
Clinical trials are research studies performed in people that are aimed at evaluating a medical, surgical, or behavioural intervention. They are the primary way that researchers find out if a new treatment, like a new drug or diet or medical device for example, a pacemaker. is safe and effective in people. Often a clinical trial is used to learn if a new treatment is more effective and/or has less harmful side effects than the standard treatment.
I am asking this question in my capacity as a Research Practitioner working in the field of medical research. As part of our Patient and Public initiative PPI. engagement, we have had feedback on this issue. This feedback relates directly to working individuals and their corresponding employee HR policies. Potentially this activity could require sick leave and/or unpaid absence from work. This means that the potentially impact could mean that a working individual would not be able to have access to /participate in clinical studies. I am gathering information on this topic to understand the actual breath of HR policies specifically related to this type of absence from work for Medical Research Is a policys. relating to Clinical Trial Appointments available within your organisation?
☐ Yes – I would like this information to be provided to me as [paper or electronic copies, or alternatively provision of appropriate web-links – if this information is already available to the public..]
☐ No
If this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and assist requesters. If any of this information is already in the public domain, please can you direct me to it, with page references and URLs if necessary. If the release of any of this information is prohibited on the grounds of breach of confidence, I ask that you supply me with copies of the confidentiality agreement and remind you that information should not be treated as confidential if such an agreement has not been signed. I understand that you are required to respond to my request within the 20 working days after you receive this letter. I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing that you have received this request.
