FOI Response

Freedom of Information Request – Ref: 214-2024

Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request. Please find our response below.

You asked:

1. Staff Count: Could you please provide the current total number of staff employed by the trust?

Our response:

FTE by Year
2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 2024
4,007.66 4,051.33 3,829.49 3,864.57 4,012.51 4,130.01

You asked:

2. Remote/Hybrid Workers: How many staff members are currently designated as remote or hybrid workers?

Our response:

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust have 14 employees set to Home working, currently it is not a requirement that flexible/home working requests or arrangements are registered against our Employee record.

You asked:

3. How many days per week are hybrid employees allowed to work from home?

Our response:

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust has an agile working approach in place which enables staff to work within a hybrid model which includes working remotely. This could mean from home or from a range of GHC or non-GHC buildings. How this works in practice is determined by services/teams and based on operational need. The Working From Home policy sets out the considerations required of managers where working from home is formally agreed

You asked:

4. Remote Working Policy: I would appreciate it if you could share a copy of the remote working policy implemented within the organisation.

Our response:

Please find a copy of the Working from Home policy at the following link: Working from Home Policy

You asked:

5. How long has this been the policy and has it changed since the pandemic?

Our response:

Working From Home policy effective from March 2024. The Covid pandemic meant many Trust colleagues changed the way they worked almost overnight and where services have continued to adopt agile working this is balanced with service delivery.

You asked:

6. Monitoring Work Hours: How do you ensure that remote or hybrid workers fulfil their full contractual hours?

Our response:

Arrangements for hybrid working are managed by line managers in line with the Working from Home policy or agile working arrangements as agreed

You asked:

7. Laptop Purchases in 2024: In the year 2024 so far, how many new laptops have been procured specifically for remote or hybrid working?

Our response:

To meet the Trusts agile working approach all IT equipment is purchased and set up to be flexible and support hybrid working

You asked:

8. Cost of Laptop Purchases: What has been the total cost associated with the procurement of these laptops in 2024 so far?

Our response:

All equipment is purchased to meet all types of working, as above.
