Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request. Please find our response below:
What capital investment has been made within the Trust for bariatric support in the past 3 years? Please can you provide the amount of spend and a brief summary of works completed. Please see details below of Capital Spend on Bariatric Medical Equipment and Buildings work.
We have purchased a number of wider, more appropriate chairs in order to ensure all our staff can be comfortable when visiting us. These are currently in our counselling rooms, and we are in the process of sourcing some for our waiting room as well.
Additionally, in 2021 we offered a Starting Well with Working Well programme to all new employees which included a Know Your Numbers check of blood pressure, blood glucose and BMI, with supportive nutritional advice. Our Occupational Health Specialists are also au-fait with the support provided by the Healthy Lifestyles Service for staff living in Gloucestershire. The Trust’s DSE Workstation assessment also asks questions about suitability of seating, so any issues should be picked up early on.
