FOI Request

I’m working for Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust, supporting our Dental services across Cambridge, Peterborough, Norfolk and Suffolk. Our current project includes a review of Special Care Dental nursing, as the trust is currently experiencing some recruitment/retention challenges in certain areas, and I’m keen to understand if these are specific to the local region or a more broader, shared challenge across the country with other trusts. In particular, am keen to understand current: Dental nursing vacancy rates qty and %. Pay bands what band, if aligned, or any variation/tactical amends to aid recruitment – i.e. starting bonus, referral reward etc.. Recruitment strategy where advertised, when.

We advertise all dental nursing vacancies via NHS Jobs and our dedicated Trac Trust website. If we struggle to recruit once adverts have gone out via NHS jobs then we turn to using social media sites for additional promotion.
