Freedom of Information request 033-2022

Response published: 4 January 2022

FOI Request

This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I would like to request the following information: A copy of this trust's protocol for exchanging medical information about a service user's mental health conditions with the police Is there a specific protocol for the trust's triage scheme? If so, a copy of this document. Moreover: An outline of, or document describing what training is given to NHS staff surrounding data protection laws? How is information about a person’s mental health condition stored by the trust, what is the protocol surrounding this and for how long is it retained? I would also like to clarify that by triage scheme I am referring to the trusts street or telephone triage team which operates with police, if it has one.
