1. When did your post COVID long COVID. assessment service become operational?
The service officially started in April 2021 but opened for referrals in March 2021.
2. A copy of the operational policy for your post COVID long COVID. assessment service
There is a service specification awaiting sign off which cannot be shared at this time
3. The titles of the rows and columns of your central database/ spreadsheet on the referrals received, patients seen and outcomes of assessments
Outcome of assessments are not included in the national data set
4. What information do you hold on the occupations of people referred with post COVID long COVID. syndrome?
This is discussed at initial assessment and recorded in the patient’s electronic patient record
5. Do you record how many of the people referred are current or former NHS workers?
This is not part of the current data set although patients identified as NHS workers as above
6. What data do you submit to NHS England and or other central bodies about the work of your service and the characteristics of the patients who you treat?
NHSE have updated the commissioning guidance to specify the service specification. The data set required and submitted every two weeks can be found in a document on their website
7. To where are patients referred if assessment concludes that they need rehabilitation for post COVID long COVID. syndrome?
The team has a comprehensive rehabilitation offer for physical and psychological needs in-house. Complex chronic fatigue problems are referred onto the Bristol chronic fatigue service
