Freedom of Information Request – Ref: FOI 193-2122
Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request. Please find our response below.
1. Which Clinical Commissioning Groups. CCG. COMMISSION your ECT service?
NHS Gloucestershire CCG
2. Is your ECT service accredited by ECTAS? Yes we are accredited. 3. If your ECT service is accredited by ECTAS, please provide copies of your two most recent ECTAS accreditation reports. Exemption Section 41 applies for this question.
It is ECTAS’ view that local reports are provided in confidence in line with their confidentiality statement and so the exemption under Section 41 applies to this question. It is clearly the expectation that the obligation to maintain confidentiality will be complied with as this is an important part of the process working effectively to help improve the quality of services and patient care. In addition, the reports contain elements of personal information which may make them, or at least sections of them, exempt from sharing under Section 402..
4. How do you inform patients about your ECT clinic’s ECTAS accreditation status? Certificate on show in assessment room we also verbally inform service users. Should you have any queries in relation to our response in this letter, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you are unhappy with the response you have received in relation to your request and wish to ask us to review our response, you should write to:-
